Gorakh is a Hill Station of Sindh, Pakistan located at a height of 5,688 ft (1,734 meter) above the sea level. In the region of Sindh fancied as a Hill Station. It is situated in the Kirthar Mountains 93 km north west of Dadu city or approximately 500 Kilometers away from Karachi.

 

Gorakh’s stature gives it an extraordinary environment, with sub zero temperatures in winter season and night temperature remains below 20 °C in summer season. Gorakh Hill Station receives frequent rainfall throughout the year which makes the mountain lush green.

 

Adventure lovers from Karachi visits the Gorakh Hill Station in large numbers specially during October till March to enjoy camping on the mountain, healthy environment, beautiful sunset and sunrise, folk music of the local singers and hospitality of the Sindhi Culture.

 

Night sky of the Gorakh is a sight one must witness, during a moonless and cloudless night it features millions of stars as there is no air pollution in this region.

 

The Plateau of Gorakh Hill also serves as an entryway for the villagers of Khuzdar District, Balochistan, who approach the town, Wahi Pandi, in Sindh’s portion of Kirthar, around a third route downhill from Gorakh Hill Station for buying nourishment and other Utilities.
